China’s Ten Year Panda Loan to Singapore

The Wildlife Reserves Singapore will receive a pair of baby pandas from the China Wildlife Conservation Association. This ten year loan is reflective of the collaboration between both countries’ wildlife associations and seeks to increase public awareness of panda conservation.

The pandas will only arrive in Singapore in the later part of 2011 for half a year of quarantine and acclimatization. Visitors will get their first glimpse of the pandas in the first quarter of 2012, together with the unveiling of the River Safari.
