Located 20km (12.4 miles) from Singapore’s centre, Changi Airport (website: www.changi.airport.com.sg) is a regular in topping the world’s best airport international polls. Currently the 25th busiest, it sees a total of 80 scheduled airlines operate out of Changi, with over 4,000 scheduled flights weekly to more than 180 cities in 53 countries worldwide.
To cater to the growth in passenger numbers, the Budget Terminal (website: www.btsingapore.com) with low-cost airlines became operational in 2006, alongside Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Transport to the city:
Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) – a station at Terminal 2 and 3, accessible via the skytrain from Terminal 1 and shuttle bus from the Budget Terminal. Trains run from 0531 – 2318 (Mon-Sat) and 0559 – 1118 (Sun and public holidays) every 12 minutes.
Singapore Bus Service (SBS Transit) (tel: 6287 2727 or 1 800 287 2727; website: www.sbstransit.com.sg) – regular buses operate into the city, accessible via bus terminals in the basement of Terminals 1 and 2. Public buses depart every 6-14 minutes, from 0600-2400, with Bus 36 going along Orchard Road (approximate journey time: 50 minutes).
Taxis – Available 24 hours from the Arrivals hall, the journey into the city centre takes about 20-30 minutes. Ranging from $16 to $24 including toll and luggage fees, it is usually a cheaper transportation option for more than 3 passengers.
